Floras Lake is the ideal spot for beginner and intermediate riders. After 30 years of windsurfing and kiteboarding instruction, Will has passed his school along to his sons, Reed and Josh. Their knowledge and experience of more than 20 years here on the lake means they can offer personalized, quality instruction.

We are very flexible in how your personal lesson is structured. We work with you according to YOUR pace and abilities. Our goal is the same as yours: to take you as far as possible!

Lessons include wetsuit, harness, appropriate gear for conditions, bluetooth radio helmet, and jet ski support. All you need to bring is yourself, a towel and a sandwich!
Kids policy: ages 12+, 100 pound minimum.

KITEBOARDING

1/2 day kite lessons (3 hours):

  • $350 land - Teaches the fundamentals of the 4-line kite

  • $450 water

  • If the full 3 hours is not used, you will be charged $175/hr with a minimum 2 hour charge

  • Hourly lessons available for $175/hr , minimum 1 hr charge

Group land lessons:

  • $280 per person with 2 people ($560 total)

  • $230 per person with 3 people ($690 total)

Rentals:

  • Trainer kite $25 for 3 hrs / $40 all day

  • Board $40 for 3 hrs / $60 all day

  • Harness $25 for 3 hrs / $40 all day

Kite Lessons are weather dependent. If there is not enough wind, we will reschedule you in the next available lesson slot.

We recommend beginners take 1 land lesson and a minimum of two water lessons.

Beginners get started flying a trainer kite on dry land to get the feel of flying and controlling the kite. From there, students learn to fly the kite in the water without a board, or "body-dragging". Once ready, the next step is getting on a board. 

Start times: 
Morning: 9:00am or 10:00am (wind dependent)
Afternoon: 2:00pm
